Coronavirus Quarantine Man Skis On Tower Block Roof

This amusing video shows an apparently bored man skiing on the roof of a multi-storey tower block while trying to kill time during the coronavirus outbreak.

Encouraged to stay at home to prevent spreading or contracting the deadly disease, the resident of Chinese capital Beijing put on full skiing gear and took to the roof to get some exercise on 7th February.

In the video taken by an eyewitness living in a nearby building, the skier can be seen using the entire rooftop, moving at speed from one end to the other.

According to reports, the amusing scenes were recorded the day after the latest snowfall in Beijing, which like many other major Chinese cities is urging its residents to remain indoors when possible during the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.

The respiratory condition presenting with pneumonia-like symptoms has so far killed 637 people in mainland China as well as one in Hong Kong and one in the Philippines.

There have been more than 31,400 reported cases worldwide.

Chinese residents, especially those in cities on lockdown, have been seen exercising in their homes as staying fit has been seen as the best defence against the virus.
