Bizarre Sofa Is Udder Luxury

It is the ultimate sofa for a cow-ch potato – a bizarre settee made from an entire stuffed steer.

The seat – said to have been part of an art installation project – emerged on an online sale platform in Austria with a EUR 550 (GBP 480) price tag.

The listing’s pictures shows a brown and white cow with its horns still attached and wrapped around in a shallow U shape.

Part of its body has been flattened to make the seating area, which looks just about big enough for two.

Its head – curled around to face the front – might even make a handy side table for a cup of coffee or a small plate.

The advert was posted online by a house clearance and storage company in Salzburg.

The ad, on the Austrian website Willhaben, which is akin to Craigslist, says: “We are offering a single-seater couch in the form of a cow.

“The animal was used as part of an art project. Collection in Salzburg, delivery by our truck may also be possible.”

Local media said that the cow sofa would look good in “beautiful rustic” households.
