Footage now seen more than 10 million times in less than 24 hours was leaked by Jia’s wife on social media on the evening of the 28th August.

The video shows her having stormed into a bedroom and screaming at a woman wearing only underwear, as well as her chubby husband who is shirtless and trying to pull her away.

The trio shout at each other in local dialect, but the suspected mistress at one stage says in Mandarin Chinese: “This is your problem – sort it out yourselves!”

Jia’s alleged girlfriend attempts to cover her face in the video while the official’s wife grabs her arms and hair.

As the video ends, Jia appears on camera trying to restrain his wife, but his spouse shoots back: “Don’t touch me! If you touch me I’ll call the police.”
