This is the viral moment a man is arrested by French cops for allegedly biting an officer – seen limping nearby – after they reportedly spotted him breaking the coronavirus lockdown.
The video has gone viral with more than 1.2 million views after being shared online by an onlooker who filmed the scenes from his balcony in Paris.
In the videos, a young man who has not been named in reports can be seen running from police who had stopped him for not respecting the country’s coronavirus lockdown.
In a second clip, the man recording says “oh, he bit the cop” and one of the officers can be seen with one of his trouser legs rolled up as his colleagues restrain the man on the ground.
The cop then walks to the back of a police van before slumping to the ground in apparent pain.
More police cars can be seen arriving while the person filming says “all this for one person?”.
Netizens were quick to react to the clip, with one writing: “He limps as if it was a wolf bite, this actor.”

Another comment reads: “The saliva from the man is acidic or what? The policeman looks like he’s been shot.”
According to reports from the Minister of the Interior, more than 4,000 fines were handed out for failure to comply with the containment measures in three days.
The minister says that in total, more than 70,000 stops were made with citizens to explain to them that they were breaking the rules.
Reports say a lump-sum fine of 135 EUR (125 GBP) is imposed for “violating the bans on moving from one’s home”.
It is unclear if the man in the video was charged with a further crime.
