Probe Launched After 2 OAPs Die In Norway Care Home Days After Receiving Pfizer COVID Vaccine

Two care home residents in Norway have reportedly died days after taking the new Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The Norwegian Medicines Agency has confirmed that the two unnamed OAPs died days after receiving the new vaccine and that an investigation is underway.

Vaccinations began in Norway on 27th December. The two deaths were reported to the authorities on 5th January.

Medical director Steiner Madsen said in a statement: “We have to assess whether the vaccine is the cause of death or if it is coincidental that it happened so soon after vaccination.”

Madsen added that, due to the victims’ age, it is possible their deaths could have been a coincident as some 400 elderly people die every week in Norway’s care homes.

As well as the Norwegian Medicines Agency, the National Institute of Public Health has announced that they will investigate the deaths too.

Vaccine side effects have been reported as minor although reactions have been reported in the UK, US and other countries among allergy sufferers.

Some government officials around the world, including US vice president Mike Pence, have already received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to reports.
