This is the cute moment curious penguins get to explore the 4D Theatre in Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium.
Adult magellanic penguins Dolores and Sparrow and youngster Sir Elio enjoyed the day out when they explored the theatre recently.
In the video, shared on Facebook by The Shedd Aquarium on Thursday, the three explorers are seen waddling around the theatre, curiously examining everything around them.
According to the aquarium, while penguin adventures are fun to watch, they are also beneficial to the curious birds themselves, allowing them to explore new spaces, sights, smells and more.
Shedd Aquarium added: “Fun fact: penguins waddle because their legs are behind their hips!”
The cute video attracted almost 400 comments from avid animal lovers such as netizen ‘Trischa Stratman- Carr’ who said: “I don’t know what I’d do without these penguin adventures. They are such a bright light in these strange times. They always make me smile.”
‘Cheryl Lynn’ remarked: “Totally love their adventures and how curious they are.”
The Shedd Aquarium is the largest indoor aquarium in Chicago and is home to over 32,000 animals of 1,500 different species including fish, marine mammals, birds, snakes, amphibians, and insects.
As for the penguins, Johnny Ford, assistant director for public relations, told Newsflash they were adventurous birds and enjoyed the chance to see something new.
He said: “We care for over 30 penguins at the aquarium, representing two different species.”
