A goat has given birth to a mutant eight-legged ‘Spider-Kid’ in an Indian village.
The mutant kid was born in the area of Kalmegha near the city of Bangaon in the Indian state of West Bengal on 16th July.
The mother goat gave birth to two kids, one was normal and the one was born with eight legs and two hips, according to local reports.
However, the mutant kid only survived for several minutes before dying.
News of the eight-legged goat brought throngs of locals to the home to see it.
Goat owner Saraswati Mondal, who keeps cows and goats at her property, said local residents kept arriving at her home after hearing about the incident.
She told India Today: “This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this. Almost five minutes after its birth, the baby goat died.”
Saraswati added: “However, the mother and the other baby are both well.”
Video footage shows the mutant goat, apparently already dead, lying on the ground as well as scenes of the other kid and its mother, and villagers arriving at the house to enquire about the unusual animal.
