Goat Called Princess Has Tail Bitten Off By Dog

This is the moment Princess the pet goat is chased out of a terraced restaurant where she had been enjoying breakfast with her owner and has her tail bitten off by a dog.

The incident took place in the district of Bahcelievler in Istanbul when the Dogo Argentino, a banned breed in Turkey, suddenly attacked the goat.

The dog then chased terrified Princess down some steps and into a shop where it bit off part of her tail.

Luckily, shop workers intervened and managed to pull the Dogo Argentino off the frightened goat before more damage could be done.

Reports said that by this time the concerned goat owner had also entered the shop with an iron bar to protect his beloved Princess, reportedly beating the dog with it.

The injured goat was taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment.

Goat owner Ali Sever, who has raised Princess since she was a kid, told local media: “We were dining together when the Dogo Argentino suddenly attacked my goat.

“A local resident hit the dog with a chair and Princess managed to escape, but the chase continued into a shop.

“My goat then spent three hours in surgery as her tail was shredded. I will use the vet’s report to file a complaint with the police.

“Officers have asked me to bring photos along and I have everything prepared.

“I was with Princess during her treatment, we always eat in restaurants and do things together.”

Local vet Mitat Levent said: “When the goat arrived, it was bleeding profusely. We treated the animal and it is now okay.

It is unclear what happened to the dog in the end.
