This is the moment fishermen struggle to free a thrashing shark that was caught in their nets and taken ashore.
The footage was filmed at Fish Hoek Beach in the South African city of Cape Town on 9th December.
The video shows the moment several fishermen work together to free an entangled large shark from their net.
According to local media, the fishermen caught the large animal using a trek net which has floating devices at the top and weights at the bottom to keep it spread out underwater, catching anything in front of it.
The fishermen are seen pulling at the shark’s tail until they manage to move it out of the net without letting too many other fish out, which are seen flapping around the sand.
Several people are then seen taking the shark into deeper waters until it is able to swim away on its own.
The video ends showing locals collecting the fish from the nets and placing them inside buckets.
The shark was unharmed and swam to safety after it was freed, according to reports.
