These images show the dead puppies stuffed into tiny glass jars which have been found next to a rubbish collection point in Russia.
The incident occurred when a woman whose name has not been reported spotted the glass jars at a rubbish collection point in the city of Smolensk in the Oblast region of the same name in western Russia.
She told reporters: “I was walking down Lavochkina street where there is a metal collection point. Near the rubbish bins, I noticed some strange looking glass jars. When I approached them I was shocked to see them filled with murky water and cubs inside.”
The woman said the jars were scattered as if someone had hastily disposed of them.
The images show the baby dogs stuffed into the jars with a liquid, appearing to be pickled.
It is unclear if the authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Netizens were outraged by the horrible images shared online and were quick to react.
One netizen named ‘Evgheny Volynkin’ said: “Those who did this are scum. They need to be put in those jars the same way.”
Another netizen named ‘Irina Sokolova’ commented: “I call on the authorities – please investigate this because it is so horrible and inhumane. People who did this should definitely be punished.”
‘Peyponin Ilya’ said: “It’s not viruses that we need to be afraid of, but people. They are worse than any viruses and they’ll take us to the end of the world way faster.”
