Customs Find Gold Bracelet Hidden In Woman’s Baguette

Gold filling found inside a woman’s baguette when custom’s officers discovered a valuable gold bracelet hidden between slices of cheese and tomato.

The discovery of the bracelet that the woman was trying to smuggle into the country without paying import duty happened as the officials became suspicious during the check at Munich Airport, Germany on 2nd March.

The 60-year-old traveller, who was returning to Germany after a stay in Turkey, triggered suspicions when the scan of her hand luggage during a spot check by customs agents showed the gold bracelet hidden inside.

Daniela Huber, spokeswoman for the Munich Main Customs Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash on 5th March: “The officials’ suspicion was not unfounded. A gold bracelet was hidden in a baguette.”
