Man dismantling a car’s instrument panel so that he can catch a hidden mouse.
Smartphone footage recorded in the city of Jiyuan, in China’s central province of Henan, showed the man had disassembled the entire instrument panel of the vehicle to catch the rodent on 14th January.
The video further depicted the man, reportedly a maintenance technician, making a simple mousetrap, made out of a fishing rod and a piece of corn to lure out the sneaky mouse.
Despite not being shown in the video, Chinese media revealed that he succeeded in the attempt to catch the animal after several days of trying.
The video became a massive hit after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, on 15th January.
The uploader, named as ‘Jiyuan Qinyuan Xiaohei Car Quick Repair Department’, said: “It’s been a day since the war of mice and men, and the instrument panel has been dismantled, but I still can’t get it out.

“My mind is buzzing. TikTok records the daily life of a repairman.”
Douyin user ‘Princess Hanhan’ said: “This is a very smart mouse. It seems to me like it even knows how to wipe its bum with toilet paper after going to the loo.”
Then user ‘The repairman who loves potatoes’ commented: “The natural enemy of mice is snakes. Just find a snake and let it go inside.”
And ‘Give it a try’ added: “Turn on the air conditioner, the little guy will feel so cold!”
