Builders Find 15 Human Remains Under House

A macabre cache of 15 human skulls and bones have been unearthed from under a house by shocked builders, say police in Germany.

The grim discovery was made as construction workers were digging under a property in Lippetal, North Rhine-Westphalia state, Germany, on 7th February.

Police, reports local media, believe the human remains date back to the 1970s.

Bafflingly the cache seems to contain just skulls and large arm and leg bones with apparently no vertebrae from the spins or ribs.

The bones have been seized by police and are expected to undergo forensic examination on 8th February.

Soest District Police Authority said in a statement obtained by Newsflash on 7th February: “During construction work on Lippborger Strasse/Lippestrasse, several bones were found in the ground on Wednesday morning.

“A total of 15 skulls and a large number of bones were uncovered during excavation work after the demolition of a house.

“The police officers called in seized the bones.”

The statement added: “According to an initial assessment, the age of the remains found is estimated to be at least 40 to 50 years old.

“The Soest criminal police have currently started further investigations.”
