This is the cute moment zoo animals wake up to find their enclosures filled with tasty Halloween pumpkins.
The festive feast was filmed at Amersfoort Zoo in the city of Amersfoort located in the Dutch province of Utrecht.
In the video, prairie dogs, elephants, and a Siberian tiger are seen investigating the winter squash left in their enclosures before devouring the tasty seeds.
While the elephants and tigers were able to split open their pumpkins, the cute prairie dogs were gifted theirs already opened into a Halloween ‘Jack-o’-lantern’.
Amersfoort Zoo said on Twitter: “Creepy treat! It’s almost Halloween so the elephants, tiger, and prairie dogs discovered dozens of pumpkins in their enclosure today!”
Zoo spokesperson Sharon de Kruijff added: “Each animal species reacts differently to the pumpkins. The Siberian tigers crept right up to the pumpkins to devour them.
“The elephant herd just took a careful look, after which the animals crushed the pumpkins.
“We hid hay and vegetables in the pumpkins for the prairie dogs. After studying the pumpkins from a distance, they came to sniff carefully and then went there with the whole group.”
