A woman found this cute, stowaway baby gecko in a cabbage she bought from the supermarket.
It is currently unclear where exactly the gecko came from, but it was found in a cabbage bought from a supermarket in Krakow, Poland.
The small carnivorous lizard, which is typically found in warmer climates, had made itself at home inside the cabbage that a woman, who has not been named, bought from the store.
Newsflash obtained a statement from the Krakow Society for the Care of Animals (KTOZ) dated 20th March saying: “Once upon a time, there was a gecko who came to our beautiful country on a lorry, and this time such a gentleman was found in a cabbage, purchased in one of the popular retail chains.
“Fortunately, the little one was discovered in time, and woman who bought the cabbage contacted the office on Florianska Street asking for help in this unusual situation.
“The animal spent the weekend with our friend, and today it is moving to a permanent home with Ania – a KTOZ inspector.”
It is unclear currently unclear what kind of gecko it was and how it made its way through health and safety checks.
