This is the shocking moment a 43-year-old cyclist in France is punched in the face and kicked in the head on the ground because he would not give up his bike to local thugs.
The incident was filmed at around 5am in the centre of Nantes located in the western French department of Loire-Atlantique, and the footage has been shared on Twitter by netizen ‘Ken K’ where it has been viewed over a million times.
According to local media, a group of youths approached the 43-year-old cyclist and demanded that he hand over his bike.
When he refused, they reportedly beat him up and took his bicycle anyway.
In the footage, the victim is seen standing eyeball-to-eyeball with one of the thugs as he says: “Look, I’m leaving on my bike.”
The thug replies: “You’re leaving without your bike.”
The victim then appears to be punched from behind by another group member.
The victim is then dragged backwards by the thug who drops him to the ground.
While apparently lying unconscious on the ground, the first thug walks over and kicks his head like a football several times.
The aggressor says: “Here, I spit in your face, you son of a b*tch.”
Meanwhile, the motionless victim appears to have blood coming from his face.
According to local media, the police have managed to arrest two 18-year-old men in connection with the incident.
The middle-aged victim suffered a broken nose, according to reports.
