She accompanied the clip with the message: “Lidl Poland, this was bought in your store yesterday…”

Dulewicz also said that product safety is Lidl’s priority and quality control is maintained at every stage of the supply chain.

Meanwhile, some netizens doubted Gaudaniec’s post and questioned how a spider could survive in a sealed jar with liquid marinate.

Social media user ‘Kasia Modzelewska’ commented: “It seems to me that the jar had been opened previously…”

‘Monika Lukaszczyk’ said: “Come on, it only shows that there are no chemical substances in the jar. From now on, they are my favourite olives!”

‘Bozena Zieba’ wrote: “How is it possible that a spider could live in a sealed jar in liquid for so long?”

Gaudaniec defended herself by saying: “The jar was bought yesterday and opened today. We are just as amazed as everyone else, but it is not fake.”

The species of spider is not currently known.
