The police were called to the scene after the shop workers suspected two women of having stolen goods from the shop.
In the video, two police officers, who have not been named in reports, can be seen speaking to the two female suspects.
One of the officers then takes one of the suspects away while his colleague turns to her friend, who is on the phone.
Local media report the woman said on the phone “why are they holding me here” and in the video he can be seen slapping the device out of her hand, appearing to hit her face at the same time.
He then grabs her wrists and appears to push her backwards into the supermarket.
The video was posted onto social media after which the Dnipropetrovsk Region Police Protection Department began an official investigation.

When the police arrived, store employees reported that two women were trying to steal goods. While talking to the suspects, one of the police officers knocked a phone out of the hands of a suspect and began to roughly push her. Whether there were any reasons for this is still unknown.”
