A house with an extra UFO-shaped home built by a carpenter in the Italian countryside has gone on sale for EUR 140,000.
The property is in Gallicano nel Lazio, around 36 kilometres from Rome, in the Lazio region of central Italy, and was listed on Immobiliare.it on 18th March.
The circular structure was built entirely from marine wood by local carpenter Franco Attanasio, who began construction in the 1960s and moved in with his family. He later abandoned the house following the death of his wife.

The building sits slightly raised from the ground and features side fins housing ventilation ducts, large overhead glazing visible from above, oval windows, and a red radial ceiling inside. It is accessed via a small staircase leading into a central living space.
The structure measures approximately 400 square metres (4,305 square feet) and sits within a 2,200-square-metre (23,680-square-foot) plot, listed as commercial premises. A separate adjacent apartment of around 70 square metres (753 square feet) is included in the sale and is currently let on a rental contract.
The only drawback for UFO fans hoping to move in is that listing states the main structure is uninhabitable due to deterioration and requires reconstruction, with the asking price described as negotiable.\
