Turkish cops have been accused of using bubble wrap to restrain a Cameroonian businessman and deport him back to his home country after alleging his visa was faked.
Reports said that the footage of Cameroon national Emmanuel Fosso Someon Chedjou, 47, being restrained in the bubble wrap normally used at the airport to protect luggage caused outrage in the African state.
He was apparently being sent home on Turkish Airlines flight TK667 after being stopped with a fake visa, and reports said he was cuffed with cable ties and sticky tape.

Chedjou claimed that he was on a business trip to Dubai and left Istanbul Airport to get some air during an eight-hour layover.
However, passport control said that his transit visa was faked and placed him in custody.
Chedjou said that he used a travel agency for everything and only realised in that moment he was stopped that he had apparently been ripped off.
He said: “I was taken to some sort of detention centre and I found my partner there who had been arrested in the meantime.”
According to the Cameroon national, the authorities asked him to sign paperwork in Turkish which he was unable to understand while also refusing his request for a lawyer.

Chedjou also said that the Turkish authorities confiscated 2,400 USD (1,860 GBP) from him.
He also alleged that he had been mistreated and even beaten by Turkish officers before being wrapped in plastic like an item of luggage for the flight home.
He said that they also stuffed tissue in his mouth to gag him, which he managed to spit out on the plane to call for help.
Reports said that other passengers complained about the man’s treatment and took videos.

In the footage, Chedjou can be heard saying in French: “They are trying to kill me.”
While a female voice can be heard saying that those who did this to him are “evil.”
Two clips shared on Twitter have been viewed 60,000 and 45,000 times respectively.
