A Kazakh man is selling his super-realistic homemade Batmobile that he spent three years building from scratch for nearly GBP 730,000.
Evgeny Bondarenko, 30, a huge Batman fan from Temirtau City in Kazakhstan, announced that he is putting his life-size Batmobile up for sale on 15th August.
Evgeny told the news site Nur: “When I decided to start the project, I wanted to challenge myself. And I proved to myself that I can do it. Therefore, I think I need to move on. I decided to sell it, the price is KZT 425 million (GBP 728,811).”
The project took the Batman enthusiast three years to complete and the result was an extremely convincing copy of the Batmobile driven in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’.
According to Khabar 24, the value of the car, which is not road legal, earned it the title of the most expensive car on the Kazakh market.
Evgeny is adamant that even though the car isn’t road legal, it is suitable for filming, exhibitions and drives very nicely.
He added that the vehicle was built from scratch and is powered by a Toyota v8 engine with an automatic gearbox and 44-inch Mickey Thompson wheels. The car’s overall width is 2.9 metres.
Evgeny is already planning his next project, he says he wants to build an electric car from scratch and has some plans to design an SUV as well.
