Six-Foot Python Found In Launderette Washing Machine

A woman doing her weekly laundry got the shock of her life when she looked into a launderette washing machine and found a six-foot python staring back at her.

The giant snake – which weighed 20 kilogrammes (44 lbs) – was curled up in the machine’s drum in the southern Malaysian state of Johor on Saturday, 1st October.

The horrified customer told the manager who called emergency services for help.

Images released by the emergency services show firefighters extracting the snake from the machine.

Deputy Fire Chief I, Suhaimi Mohd. Jamal told local media: “According to the operation commander, Senior Fire Superintendent II, KUP Mohd. Ali Matt, they found a six-foot python weighing 20 kilogrammes inside one of the washing machines in the shop.”

He added: “Members at the location caught the snake using a snare and released it in an area far from civilian settlements.”

The snake was reportedly released back into the wild after being captured without further incident.
