This is the shocking moment an 18-year-old man teases a caged monkey before shooting the helpless animal with a Glock pistol.
After the video was seen 506,000 times on Twitter, the unnamed suspect has been arrested at his home in Taman Kenangan outside the town of Sitiawan in the north-western Malaysian state of Perak.

In the footage, the young man says: “If you do not say ‘baby sayang’, I will shoot you.”
He then appears to count down from three before shooting the defenceless monkey through the bars on the cage.
The poor monkey makes a haunting sound and blood begins to pour from its little mouth as a bullet wound appears to bleed around its midriff.
The widely-circulated footage caused outrage online and the local authorities were alerted to the incident.
Police have arrested the suspect and his father at their home, according to reports.
During the raid, cops also seized the Glock pistol allegedly used to shoot the defenceless animal.
It is believed that the firearm belongs to the detained father.
Local official Asmawati Ahmad said that more details will be announced to the public soon.
