Shocked Pilot Finds Owl In Boeing 777 Cockpit

The pilot of a Boeing 777 got a shock when he entered the cockpit to discover an owl had set up home inside.

It is unclear how the bird managed to get inside the plane operated by Indian international airline Jet Airways which is based in Mumbai.

The owl was safely removed from the plane

The aircraft was parked at Mumbai airport when the crew went inside, finding the owl looking relaxed and at home after apparently getting inside overnight.

Airport ground staff were called in and easily captured the bird, regarded as a symbol of good luck, and they then handed it over to wildlife officials to be released further away from the airport where it would not pose a risk to planes landing or taking off.

Staff at the troubled airline said they hoped that the owl would really mean good luck as the company has been dogged in recent days by reports of its deteriorating financial situation.

Photos were also shared online noting the incident and pointing out it was hopefully a sign for better days ahead.
