This is the moment a routine swim turns into panic after a young man discovers a snake has slithered into his trunks in a swimming pool.

The incident took place in Orai district, Uttar Pradesh, India, with the video circulating widely on social media as a friend grabs and restrains the reptile through the fabric of the underwear while the garment is carefully lowered and removed.
The footage was filmed inside a public swimming pool during a routine swim session, local media reported on 26th June.
The swimmer is seen standing inside the pool as he suddenly realises something unusual inside his clothing, prompting immediate concern from those around him.

Friends quickly move in to assess the situation, trying to help without provoking the reptile or causing further distress to the swimmer.
Before the swimmer could safely remove the undergarment, one of his friends grabbed the snake through the fabric of the clothing.

He then uses his hands from outside the material to pin and control the reptile’s body, holding it still to prevent it from biting while the swimmer carefully steps out of the underwear and wraps himself in a towel for privacy.

The garment is then taken out of the pool area and placed on the ground as onlookers maintain a cautious distance.
A snake emerges from the underwear moments later, causing shock among those present as they realise what had been inside the clothing.
Several people then use a stick to guide the reptile away from the garment while keeping a safe distance from it.
Reports circulating with the footage suggest the snake was a non-venomous water snake commonly found near freshwater bodies.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and the swimmer was safely brought out of the situation by his friends’ quick response.
