This pretty student has been slammed by church leaders as “blasphemous” after posing outside a famous monastery full of monks while scantily dressed and brandishing a rifle.
The student, identified as Alexandra B. from the village of Ciolanu in the south-eastern Romanian county of Buzau, was snapped posing in front of the local 16th-century Ciolanu Monastery.
The student claimed that she decided to use the monastery as a backdrop for her controversial photoshoot because she liked the decorative fence and stated that it was not her intention to offend anyone.
However, after church leaders slammed the young woman, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, reports said that the weapon she was holding was a nonlethal Airsoft Replica that is only able to shoot pellets.
High-performance Airsoft guns can reportedly fire up to 500 feet per second and can outperform many high-performance BB guns.
A spokesperson for the Buzau County Archdiocese said: “This daring artist will come to regret disturbing public peace in the area.”
Priest Dragos Olteanu commented: “The archdiocese of the counties of Buzau and Vrancea has been astonished and concerned by this blasphemous act.
“The monastery’s management will contact the local authorities to file a public-disturbance complaint.”
Education official Nela Wamsiedel said that she was “very concerned about the photo in front of the monastery” and that she has spoken with the student and her mother about the incident.
According to local media, both the school authorities and the local police department are still looking into the matter.
The probe continues.
