This is the moment a Russian opera singer belts out ‘Quizas, Quizas, Quizas’ from her balcony to entertain the neighbours during COVID-19 lockdown.
The incident was filmed in the city of Krasnodar in the south-western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai by the vocalist’s impressed neighbours before being shared online.
In the video, the singer is seen wearing a red skirt as she belts out the classic song ‘Quizas, Quizas, Quizas’ from her balcony.

While performing, she asked her neighbours: “How is your mood? Wave your hands if it’s wonderful.”
After the performance, an unnamed assistant told neighbours: “Remember, we all need to stay at home for a short while and after that, things will get back on track. We just need to be patient right now and gain our strength to live through this period.”
The singer, named Marina Stashkevich, a soloist at the local Organ Hall, told Newsflash that the performance was planned and she had obtained the necessary permission from the local authorities.
Stashkevich said: “They have already called me about performing in other city districts as well, but I haven’t made my mind up yet.”
She revealed that she is coping well during the lockdown and tries to share her positivity with her neighbours during the tough self-isolation process.
The city of Krasnodar is on lockdown until at least 12th April, as imposed by the governor Veniamin Kondratiev, 49.
There have been 10,131 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia with 76 deaths and 698 recoveries, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
