The grandson of the Russian mafia boss Aslan Usoyan – who was shot dead in a sniper attack in Moscow – has been arrested in a police raid on a crime lord’s meeting.
The move is part of a crackdown against Russian organised crime that saw several arrests, including this seizure of 32 at a meeting of crime lords arranged to discuss protection rackets.

When it was ended when armed cops arrested the entire group of 32 who were present that according to Russian media included the grandson of Aslan Usoyan, also known as Grandpa Hassan.
Hassan’s Empire extended into Georgia, Moscow, the Urals, Siberia, Uzbekistan, Krasnodar, Sochi, and other parts of the former Soviet Union and the “brothers circle” networking that he reportedly ran was named by Barack Obama’s administration as a criminal organisation who put sanctions on suspected members.
Police reportedly released the footage to show the latest stage in their crackdown on the organised crime network, saying it was shot in one of the restaurants in the city of Lyubertsy in the Moscow region.
Tatyana Petrova, head of the press service of the Directorate of the Moscow Region Interior Ministry, said: “In the course of the operation, the police officers detained 32 men who were
taken to the police station to establish their identity, fingerprinting, and checking for their involvement in the carrying out of crime.”
She declined to comment on the press reports that the relative of the former Godfather had also been arrested, and would only confirm that all those seized would face charges of resisting arrest.
