A runaway deer that smashed up a home after crashing its way inside the property then decided to take a rest from its endeavours by bouncing onto the bed.
The deer crashed in through a window on Monday, 24th April, in Monitor Township, in Bay County, Michigan State, USA, and rampaged through the house until it decided to chill out on the bed.
The baffled family called the police, who eventually managed to wrangle the animal out of the front door.
Bay County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “Deputy Austin Jobes was first on scene and was able to locate the suspect deer in a bedroom of the home.
“Shortly after, Lt Latocki, Deputy Judd, Deputy Dittenber, and Lt Chlebowski arrived on the scene as backup.
“The deputies were able to lure the deer out of the bedroom, and while blocking off all other rooms, convince it to run out the front door.
“Luckily, neither the deer nor deputies were injured, and the family opted not to press charges.
“Proof that there is no ‘ordinary day’ in law enforcement.”
The deer’s story was positively received by social media users after the department shared it on their Facebook page, on 25th April.
User ‘Gloria Duy’ joked: “Sure, let him off easy without pressing charges and next time he needs a nap he will remember that soft bed and be back.”
Then ‘Elisia LeiLei Bolton’ added: “I’d love to hear the 911 call.”
Another user named ‘Anne Traxler’ said: “This was a story worth reading. Thank you for sharing.”
