Run-Over Scooter Rips Hole In Floor Of Metro Train

Passengers on this German underground train were horrified when a huge hole was punched in the floor after it ran over an electric scooter.

According to police in Cologne, where the incident happened, the scooter had been dumped in the middle of the tracks and when it was hit by the train, it punched this hole in the floor.

A police spokesman confirmed they were investigating how the electric scooter came to be on the tracks where it was then run over by the train wheels.

The hole was reportedly punched in the floor of one of the wagons at the front of the train, in which there were several people, although nobody was injured.

A police spokesman said: “We are currently looking into whether the rental scooter had been thrown onto the tracks or whether it had simply been positioned nearby and fell onto the tracks by accident.”

They have appealed to witnesses who might have seen the scooter on the tracks at the Oberlaender Ufer and Marienburger Strasse railway crossing shortly before it was struck by the train at around midnight on Sunday.
