Pretty Trans Woman Arrested Over Girls Bathroom Row

This pretty transgender woman has been arrested at a shopping centre after having an argument with a caretaker who told her she could not go into the female toilet.

Twenty-eight-year-old Gretchen Custodio Diez was reportedly arrested after she had an argument with a female caretaker at the toilets at the Farmers Plaza shopping centre in the city of Quezon, in the northern Philippines’ National Capital Region.

Diez says she was stopped from entering the female bathrooms by a caretaker named Chayra Ganal who told her she should use the male bathrooms.

When Diez the began recording their conversation on her mobile phone Ganal is said to have become angry and taken Diez to another floor of the shopping centre to try to have her arrested.

In the video recorded by Diez, Ganal appears to be holding her arm as she tells other workers: “You still have a penis. If you post that video I’ll sue you. Turn that off.”

Reports state Diez was put in handcuffs and taken to a police station by officers after Ganal filed a complaint of “unjust vexation”.

She was later released and the case was dropped, with the caretaker reportedly writing a letter of apology to Diez, which the transgender woman accepted.

A video shows the female caretaker being taken out of the room where she had Diez detained. She appears to be faint and is being supported by a male worker, although netizen have speculated that she was feigning illness to avoid answering questions about the incident.

Diez has said she will “file a case” against the shopping centre, with her legal team working on the details.

Joy Belmonte, the Mayor of Quezon City, criticised the shopping centre and said the city would work to protect the rights of the LGBT+ community.
