Pedal Mix-Up Woman Driver Crushes 6yo Girl And Dad

This is the moment a woman driver appears to mix up her car pedals and reverses into a young girl and her dad who are crushed against a metal gate before being dragged into a front garden.

The accident took place in the municipality of Tecamac in the southern Mexican state of Mexico as the six-year-old girl, identified as Regina, was walking along the pavement with her father Luis and her unnamed sister.

Regina and Luis were hit by the reversing woman driver, identified as Yuridia Hernandez, who reportedly mixed up the car pedals.

In the CCTV footage, the family is seen walking along the pavement outside the house as a red car in the middle of the road starts to reverse slowly.

The reversing car quickens as it approaches the family, hitting the young girl and her dad before crashing through the metal gate.

The bungling driver then continues reversing and appears to drag the six-year-old girl under the car’s rear wheel.

The female motorist gets out of the car as onlookers rush over to help.

According to local media, the young girl has been hospitalised in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, the motorist was reportedly detained and charged with causing injury by dangerous driving.

She has since been released as the investigation continues, according to local media.
