This is the moment a man abandons a three-month-old puppy in a carrier between two parked cars at an airport after being told he could not take it on board a plane.
The incident happened at Hercilio Luz International Airport in Florianopolis, Brazil, on Wednesday, 20th August.
Security camera footage shows the man carrying the dog in its crate into the car park. He then places the carrier between two cars before walking away and heading back to continue his journey.
Airport employees later discovered the abandoned dog and alerted the police. The animal was rescued safely.

Investigators established that the man had boarded a flight to Brasilia, where he intended to connect to another flight to Manaus.
The Civil Police of Santa Catarina and the Federal Police notified the Department for the Animal Protection Department in the Federal District.
When the plane landed in Brasilia, officers boarded the aircraft and arrested the suspect.
Police said the man admitted abandoning the animal. He explained that he had sold his family’s possessions to return to Manaus and after being prevented from boarding with the dog, decided to leave it at the airport.
The man is being held on suspicion of animal cruelty, a crime punishable by up to five years in prison, a fine and a ban on keeping animals.
Authorities confirmed the puppy is doing well and has since been adopted by an airport employee.
