This is the moment shocked airport customs officers discover thousands of marten tails hidden inside a passenger’s luggage.
The incident took place at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport in Russia as the man was reportedly preparing to fly to Israel, according to a statement from the Federal Customs Service on 10th November.
Officials said the foreign passenger stopped in the “nothing to declare” channel during a random inspection.

When his bags were checked, officers found vacuum-packed bags filled with animal tails.
A subsequent expert examination confirmed they were nearly 7,000 marten tails with a total value of RUB 183,000 (GBP 1,713).
The man told officials he was transporting the fur items to make crafts at a children’s camp.
Given the quantity, customs authorities classified the shipment as commercial goods.
An administrative case opened for failure to declare the items, which carries a possible fine of between half and twice the value of the undeclared goods and their potential confiscation.
According to reports, the same man previously stopped by customs officers in Kazan after arriving from Istanbul with wallets, purses, and handbags made from python and crocodile leather worth around RUB 2 million (GBP 18,720).
