Panda with an itch to scratch solves the problem by standing on a swing and using the rope to rub its backside as stunned zoo spectators watch and giggle from the side.
The male panda called Zhui can be seen sitting on top of a yellow swing and playing inside its enclosure at Moscow Zoo, Russia, on 3rd July.
However, at one point, he prompted smiles and chuckles from the guests around when he began scratching his rear end while swinging at the same time.
General Director of the Moscow Zoo, Svetlana Akulova, said in a statement obtained by Clipilla: “It’s hot outside, but Zhui isn’t disheartened. He’s playing the balalaika.”
Giant pandas in the wild are listed as vulnerable, and those in captivity are sometimes shared in zoos around the world on a 10-year lease as ambassadors for good relations between China and other countries.
