This is the adorable moment a male panda impresses keepers with his painting skills.
The panda called Zhui, who resides at the Moscow Zoo in the Russian capital, was spotted creating a masterpiece with a brush in his paws, capturing the attention of staff and visitors alike.
In exchange for his artwork, the talented panda is rewarded with treats, which he eagerly enjoys after completing each of his paintings.
Keepers have praised his creativity, noting how he appears to enjoy the process of painting, often swiping the brush across the canvas with precision.
The painting will be offered as a prize in an upcoming lottery organised by the zoo.
Zhui is one of the beloved residents at the Moscow Zoo, which is home to a number of rare and endangered species. The zoo has become a major attraction in the city, known for its dedication to animal welfare and conservation.
Pandas Zhui and Ding Ding arrived at the Moscow Zoo in 2019 to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. The zoo’s staff spent several months training in a Chinese nursery to learn the proper care techniques for pandas.
Zhui is the proud father of the latest cub, while Ding Ding is the mother, making this a special family moment at the zoo.
The zoo is hopeful that these successful births will aid in the global efforts to conserve giant pandas, a species that remains endangered.
