Nude Playboy Shock Model Chased By New York Jewish Mob

This is the moment the Playboy ‘shock model’ Marisa Papen is forced to flee as she is chased out of a conservative Jewish neighbourhood in New York by an angry mob for walking the streets naked.

Belgian model and artist Marisa Papen made headlines around the world for her anti-religious controversies which included posing nude with a giant crucifix at the Vatican as part of her ‘FXCKRLGN’ project.

She also caused outrage in Israel after posing in front of Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall, an Egyptian temple, as well as in Turkey where she lifted up her burka to reveal her genitals inside Istanbul’s iconic Hagia Sophia – a former Byzantine church and Ottoman mosque which is now a museum.

Marisa has now shared the moment she walked naked through Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, as part of her anti-religious project, choosing the diverse neighbourhood because it is considered home to one of the world’s largest Hasidic Jewish communities.

Hasidism arose as a spiritual Jewish revival movement in the 18th Century in what is nowadays Ukraine and is considered to be a conservative and socially secluded religious subgroup within ultra-Orthodox Judaism.

Marisa told Central European News (CEN) that after fleeing to her waiting taxi, one man who appeared to be Jewish “gurgled and spat right through the open window”.

She said: “They were freaking out and yelling. One of them was pointing at his phone, screaming that he had the cops on the line and that they were a few cars behind us.

“As the sirens were getting louder, the Uber driver was freaking out.”

Marisa and her crew then decided to exit the car and flee on foot.

Video footage shows Marisa and cameraman Dries Vanderaerden running from the scene while someone shouts “Go! Go stop them!”

A man who appears to be a Hasidic Jewish then shouts: “Don’t move!”

Another resident then asks what is going on and the man replies: “She runs naked in the street.”

When asked “what did you see?” he says “titties”.

A police officer arrives on the scene with one man explaining that Marisa was seen running nude on the street.

Marisa told the cop that “they pushed me against the rails” and denied being naked, saying “nothing exactly happened” to escape arrest.

The Playboy model said: “The officer eventually let us go. Yes I lied, but there was no other way.”

Together with photographer Gary Breckheimer and producer Frank Rose, she ventured out again the following day to create more stunning yet controversial pictures.

The photos shows Marisa naked in everyday situations, such as posing in front of a Jewish school bus and walking right in front of a group of men wearing traditional Jewish clothing and hats.

Rose, who sells Marisa’s photographs in his art store, said the New York street chase resembled “scenes out of a blockbuster movie”.

He said: “I was very relieved and grateful that everyone made it out safely and no one was arrested.

“I was also happy that we managed to capture the incident in such a powerful way. It really shows how this community reacts to a nude female body.

“I honestly believe they would have hurt her if the police didn’t show when they did.

“It’s a powerful series and for the first time we also have some strong footage showing how intense things can get and how far Marisa is willing to go to spread her message.”

Marisa found it “striking how one of the world’s largest Jewish communities in a city as large as New York lives”, adding that they “literally isolate themselves from everything around them”.

The model claimed that she was completely blanked when she interacted with Jewish residents while fully-dressed.

Marisa said: “They ignored me because men are not allowed to talk to other women on the street.”

She added that she was also surprised that “some residents did not speak a word of English” and only spoke Yiddish.

According to Marisa, the founder of the Hasidic religious group Baal Shem Tov preached “respect for every individual’s unique soul, regardless of background, education or experience”.

Marisa said: “What they preach is very far from what they practice, unfortunately. For me, this is what makes their lifestyle so unhealthy.

“The lack of love and understanding for others, and the fact they close themselves off from the outside or ‘secular’ world as they call it, shows how afraid they are.

“The lack of freedom and rules they live by show how incapable they are of making up their own minds.”

The average Hasidic Jewish family in the US has eight children, with males being dressed in their trademark black overclothes, large hats and long, uncut ‘payot’ sideburns following a Biblical commandment not to shave the sides of one’s face, while women need to cover bare flesh, with married women even needing to cover their hair with a headscarf or wig.
