No Seat Belt Man Flies Into Coach Ceiling, Breaks Spine

This is the moment a coach passenger is taught a painful lesson for not wearing a seat belt when he bounces up, hits his head on the bus ceiling before landing on the ground and breaking his spine.

Passenger Mr Han is seen sitting at the very back of the coach in the centre of the row of seats as the bus drives through Ganxian District in the city of Ganzhou in China’s eastern Jiangxi Province.

The video from 27th July shows two other passengers inside the bus at the time, and all three of them bob up and down on the bumpy road.

However, Mr Han is suddenly launched 2 feet from his seat and slammed against the bus ceiling when the vehicle drives over a pothole.

Mr Han, who was on his way to the township of Hanfang, bounces back down on his seat before crashing onto the floor, the video shows.

According to reports, the other passengers are believed to have had their seat belts on, but Mr Han ‘flew’ upwards because he was not wearing his.

He was later taken to hospital and diagnosed with a fractured lumbar vertebra.

It is unclear how long he spent hospitalised, and it is unclear whether he will suffer any long-term effects from the injury.

Ganzhou police did not say whether the coach company would compensate him over the incident.
