This is the moment a group of NYPD officers act “above the law” as they queue in a pizza shop with no face masks despite other customers being warned ‘no mask no entry’.
The scene was recorded at Dona Bella Pizza on Church Street in the Tribeca area of New York’s Manhattan borough and has since been viewed over 35,000 times on social media.

The officers are blatantly disregarding the multiple signs warning ‘no mask no entry’ as they calmly queue for pizza from staff members wearing the protective equipment.
Only one officer in a white shirt can be seen wearing a face mask.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made face masks mandatory in public places and shops where social distancing cannot be guaranteed, confirming in late May that shops can refuse entry to customers without masks.
The video was uploaded with the caption: “Hey @NYGovCuomo @NYCMayor why is the NYPD above the law? #WearAMask.”
Netizens were quick to criticise the officers, with ‘Pankaj Ramani’ writing: “And this is why @NYPDnews has a sh*tty reputation….because they believe and act as though they’re above the law.”

‘JustMeMom’ added: “They can’t even pretend to care.”
And ‘Celia Moraes’ commented: “Shouldn’t they set an example?”
While ‘sarCCastro’ joked: “Sir, if you don’t put on a mask I’m going to have to call the – Dammit.”
