This viral video with over two million views shows a brazen mother overtaking a bus on a bend on a mountain road and intentionally block it so her children can get on.
The risky stunt, which police say frightened passengers on the public bus, took place on a bendy road on a cliff near Wujiadian Town in Jinzhai County China’s eastern Anhui Province.
In dashcam footage from the bus, the mum, surnamed Liu, can be seen speeding past the bus on the winding road in a bit to overtake it.
But after driving past the vehicle in her people carrier, Liu then positions her car in front of the bus and slams on the brakes.
This forces the bus driver to brake too, putting him and his passengers at risk of crashing off the road.
Shockingly, Liu then parks in the middle of the road in front of the stopped bus, with the video then revealing the mum and her two children.
According to Wujiadown police, Liu’s children missed the bus that morning, so she gave chase on her car and stopped the bus so they could get on.
It is unclear whether she did so in order not to leave her children at home alone while she went to work.
Reports did not say whether the bus driver let her kids on.
Wujiadian police said they would punish Liu according to the law but did not elaborate on what that would entail.
