MPs Daughter Kills Rich 81yo, Dumps Burnt Body In Bin

The pretty 25-year-old daughter of a Serbian politician has been arrested along with her brother over the death of a rich 81-year-old woman whose burnt body was found dumped in a wheelie bin.

The burned body of victim Majda Garovic was found in a wheelie bin by a passerby near the village of Krcedin in the municipality of Indjija in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina.

The victim’s former neighbour, 25-year-old Jelena Spagovic, is suspected of having killed her while her younger brother Momcilo Dujovic, 21, is believed to have helped her cover up the crime, according to local media.

Reports said that Spagovic lured the victim out of her house, allegedly murdered her and then, with the help of her brother, threw the body in a wheelie bin and set it on fire.

It is believed that the motive for the crime was a 2,500-EUR (2,250-GBP) debt Spagovic owed the victim, according to local media.

They reportedly used to be neighbours and regularly interacted on social media.

Both suspects are the children of Serbian politician Sasa Dujovic, deputy leader of the ‘Srpska desnica’ party, according to local media.

He told reporters: “I have nothing to comment. If my children are guilty, the investigation should confirm that and they should answer for it, like any other Serbian citizen. The law is the same for everyone.”

The victim’s neighbours said that she loved expensive jewellery and often wore valuable items.

One neighbour said: “She always wore gold worth over 100,000 RSD [765 GBP]. Who knows, maybe that was the reason she ended up like this?”

The investigation is ongoing.
