The incident happened at a wedding venue in Pursaklar, a district of Ankara, the Turkish capital, on 26th July.
According to reports, the reveller lit what is commonly known in Turkey as a stadium flare, a handheld pyrotechnic device often used by football fans and at outdoor celebrations, before walking onto the dance floor.

He approached the newlyweds with the burning flare and greeted them before backing into the middle of the crowd to continue dancing on his own.
Footage filmed by another guest shows traditional wedding music playing, as he places the lit flare between his teeth while performing his dance moves.
Seconds later, a sharp bang rings out as the pressurised flare suddenly explodes, producing a blinding flash that briefly lights up the venue and sends panicked guests scrambling away.
The blast left the young guest with burns to his face.
He was rushed to hospital, where doctors treated him for superficial first-degree facial burns.
Healthcare officials later confirmed he did not suffer deep tissue damage or serious smoke inhalation and was discharged later the same night.
The dramatic incident was captured on a guest’s mobile phone, with the footage showing the exact moment the pyrotechnic device failed.

The video has since prompted renewed discussions among municipal officials in Ankara over stricter enforcement of bans on using pyrotechnics inside private wedding venues.
Stadium flares are designed to burn under high pressure and are intended to be held by hand in open spaces, not placed near the face or held in the mouth.
