Moment Huge Tornado Twists Across Crimean Farmland

This is the moment a huge dark tornado stretches high into the sky as it twists towards a Crimean farm.

The twister was filmed on 20th June in the village of Chekhovo in the region of Rozdolne Raion located in the disputed Crimean Peninsula and the footage was later widely shared on Instagram.

In the video, the tornado is seen stretching high into a huge brooding cloud as it appears to churn up the earth in the background.

Several cows are grazing in the field as the twister rips across the landscape accompanied with thunderclaps and high winds.

According to local media, heavy storms have battered the Crimean Peninsula in recent days and a huge tornado ripped through farmland in the north of the region.

Fortunately, no one was reported as injured by the twister.

The twister or tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that is in contact with the Earth’s surface.

They are not uncommon in the Crimea region, often causing extensive damage in their wake.
