In the video, two women are seen leading the chorus as one of them appears to be sitting on top of the coffin.

While a live band plays, the female ‘cheerleaders’ animate the funeral guests and encourage them to dance and clap along as if it was a party.

According to local media, the lively farewell was the last wish of the gypsy woman whose funeral it was.

The church knees-up was organised by the woman’s closest relatives who honoured her wish of a festive farewell.

A spokesperson for the funeral company Prostor said: “There have been other gypsy funerals with live music, but this was the most unusual one because people were on their feet and dancing.”

One guest told local media: “The funeral was filmed and a professional band was hired especially for it.”

According to reports, the lively service lasted for around 45 minutes and there were no other funerals taking place that day so mourners were under no time restrictions.

Netizen ‘A’ commented: “Now I have seen everything!”

‘Miki’ added: “It may be her last wish, but the mourners should be feeling sad – how can they frolic like that?”
