Footage, recorded by a bystander, shows the paramotor attempting to launch from Kemos Beach in Duzce province, Akcakoca district, Turkey, on 21st June.

The paramotor pilot is seen preparing to take off with very little runway to gain lift safely as beachgoers watch in surprise.

As the paramotor begins its run for take-off, two people on the shoreline attempt to move out of the way but collide with the pilot and are knocked onto the sand.

The impact causes the pilot to lose balance, striking another standing beachgoer before falling into a group of people gathered under umbrellas nearby on the crowded beach.

Three people were injured in the incident, which took place on one of Akcakoca’s busiest beaches, with panic breaking out among holidaymakers as the aircraft struck the crowd.

Emergency services were called to the scene and medical teams provided first aid to the injured beachgoers at the location before they were taken for further treatment.

Officials said the three injured individuals suffered wounds to various parts of their bodies but were not believed to be in life-threatening condition.

Authorities have announced that both judicial and administrative investigations have been launched into the incident.

Following the crash and the arrival of security teams, the pilot was taken to the local police station to provide an official statement as part of a criminal investigation into alleged negligence and causing injury to multiple individuals.

Investigators are now focusing on whether the pilot held the required licences and legal permits to carry out a motorised take-off from a designated public beach.
