This is the moment the Russian authorities forcibly remove five ‘bruised’ children from their mother after the parents were deemed to have failed to look after them.
The incident took place in the village of Tyulpanny in the district of Dombarovsky in the south-western Russian region of Orenburg Oblast.
The video shows the local authorities forcibly removing three of the mother’s five children from her.
According to reports, the family lived in a flat was deemed to be dangerous to live in and the local authorities were unable to find them a council home due to the size of the family.
The local police said that the parents had been repeatedly warned and sanctioned in the past which is why a decision was taken to bring the five children into social care.
The police also said that a one-year-old child was hospitalised in intensive care in December 2019 after the mother refused the help of doctors called to her home by neighbours because of the child’s screams.
Several of her other children were also diagnosed with bruising and other injuries apparently caused by beatings, according to reports.
The children are currently being checked at a medical centre.
It is unclear if the mother and her partner – who is not seen in the clip – face further punishment.
