Model MP Hopeful Says Vegan Blood Can Cure Cancer

This stunning model who is running as a Swiss parliamentary candidate for the Green Party has shocked voters by claiming that vegans’ blood can cure cancer.

The statement was made by Tamy Glauser, an androgynous model who takes part in both male and female fashion shows, who has decided to stand as a parliamentary candidate for the Green Party in her native Switzerland.

Glauser, 34, said she lives on a vegan diet and eats vegetables, fruits and nuts, and no animal products.

However, she claimed that her vegan diet protects her from developing cancer compared to those who eat meat.

Glauser said: “Nature cures everything. Vegans’ blood can kill cancer cells for example.”

She cited an American study which allegedly proves the miraculous curing power of vegan blood.

Netizens were shocked by the statement, with ‘Brigitte Miller’ saying that “this romantic transfiguration of nature does not correspond to reality, illness is a natural process”.

Netizen ‘Toepsy Basler’ said: “And someone like this wants to go into politics! Well, if you elect someone like that, you do not need to ask what Switzerland’s future will look like!”

According to local media, the study cited by Glauser only states that eating certain kinds of meat and processed foods can increase the risk of colorectal cancer, and does not prove that a vegan diet protects against cancer.

Ori Schipper of Cancer Research Switzerland said: “The results relate to the growth of cancer cells in cell cultures – and are not relevant to people suffering from cancer.

“Unfortunately, cancer is an often unpredictable disease that arises from random mutations and can therefore affect people who have always valued their health.”

However, Schipper did say that having a balanced diet can reduce the chance of getting cancer.

According to Cancer Research Switzerland, this means eating more vegetables, less red and processed meats, and most of all more exercise.

The organisation warned people not to trust special “anti-cancer diets” which claim that abandoning carbohydrates and proteins prevent the development of cancer.

Cancer Research Switzerland stated that “these ‘anti-cancer diets’ lack scientific basis”.

Besides being a model and Green Party politician, Glauser is famous in Switzerland for being in a relationship with Miss Switzerland 2013 Dominique Rinderknecht.
