Miss Peru To Lose Crown After Leaked Drunk Video

This is the moment Miss Peru 2019 is sick on a hotel room floor after a night on the town with other models and the leaked footage could mean that the stunning brunette loses her crown.

Following the incident, a bevy of beauty queens have already been suspended or stripped of their crowns after the video was leaked online.

According to local media, 19-year-old Anyella Grados partied at a carnival event in the city of Rioja in the north-western Peruvian region of San Martin earlier this month and she was filmed without her consent.

The cameraperson has been identified as model Camila Canicoba, who is the current Miss Peru Teen holder.

The footage shows Miss Peru sitting on a hotel bed as she vomits on the floor.

Explaining why she filmed Grados in the embarrassing situation, Canicoba said: “My intention was only to record the state she was in. I was surprised because it all happened so fast.

“I know that people react differently to alcohol, but I felt that I needed to film it so that I could discuss it with the person involved later on.”

Grados has threatened legal action over the video, saying it has damaged her good name and her reputation.

She also said there was no question of her giving up her title saying: “I am not going to quit because my conscience and soul are at peace.”

Meanwhile, Miss Peru Teen organisers have suspended Canicoba saying it was not because she had filmed Miss Peru in an allegedly compromising position, but because she had been at the party when it had not been authorised.

At a press conference, director of the Miss Peru Organisation Jessica Newton, who is also a former Miss Peru, confirmed to local media that their Miss contestants are not allowed to drink, smoke or commit acts that will damage the contest’s reputation.

She also commented that Grados’ future is also under review and that Yoko Chong, the representative of Ucayali and crowned as Miss Peru Supranational, who was also involved in the incident, had also been suspended.

Claudia Meza, who is Miss Trujillo, also lost her crown despite complaining that she had been drugged.

Grados is still Miss Peru and will participate in Miss Universe representing her country, but her future will be determined by the international body.

A decision has not been taken so far.
