Man Hires Huge Crane To Free Dove That Rescues Itself

This is the hilarious moment a good Samaritan hired a mobile goods lift to rescue a dove ‘stuck’ in a tree – only to see it fly off on its own.

Estate agent Isa Avcioglu first tried to climb the tree fearing the bird had got caught up in rope in central Turkey’s Aksaray Province.

He could not reach the bird so rang a friend, who works in goods transport, and paid him to bring his mobile goods lift to the scene.

A man was then raised up on the lift’s platform towards the top of the tree – but all of the activity disturbed the dove which decided it had had enough – and promptly flew away.

Smartphone footage filmed by an eyewitness clearly shows the white dove fly off before its would-be rescuer could get close.

Isa said he had no regrets about paying to hire the goods lift and said the sight of the bird flying away free was “priceless”.

He said: “It was a nice day so I went for a walk with friends. We spotted the dove which seemed stuck at the top of the tree. We gave the tree a shake but it didn’t move.

“We left it there but my conscience was bothering me. I thought the bird might die from hunger and thirst.

“I thought about how we could help it, and I remembered my friend who works in goods transport.

“I am very happy about this. The happiness of seeing the bird flying freely again, it was priceless.”
