Man Dies After Gun Shot Plot To Dodge Community Service

This 24-year-old man has died after strapping two pillows to his back and instructing pals to shoot him with a shotgun so that he would not have to carry out community service.

According to local media, Zafer Kuzu was convicted of causing injury in the north-eastern Turkish city of Erzurum and wanted to get out of carrying out his community service sentence.

He decided that being hospitalised was the best way and instructed pals to shoot him in the back, according to reports.

Kuzu and two friends decided to use a shotgun and he reportedly strapped two pillows to his back as protection.

According to local media, one of the victim’s friends shot Kuzu at close range and the wayward buckshot seriously injured him.

His friends tried to take him to a nearby hospital, but he died before they left the house, according to reports.

The police arrived on the scene and arrested one friend identified as F.Y.T. and the alleged shooter, named as 18-year-old F.Y.

The authorities also seized the shotgun and sent Kuzu’s body for an autopsy.

After the two suspects were interrogated, the police referred them to court where F.Y. was found guilty and imprisoned pending trial and F.Y.T. was released on bail.
